about The Watson pride
foundation

Founded and privately endowed by Anthony Watson C.B.E., The Watson Pride Foundation (TWPF) champions the universal right of gay and lesbian people to live freely, love openly, and flourish without fear. Guided by compassion without compromise, it lights the path where others dare not go.

Born of conviction, not convenience, TWPF exists to uphold a simple, unyielding truth: that gay and lesbian people are entitled to live freely, love openly, and flourish without fear or prejudice. It provides direct financial support to individuals, organisations, and initiatives that challenge discrimination, promote inclusion, and build enduring, positive change.

TWPF’s work reflects Watson’s lifelong commitment to human rights and equality for gay and lesbian people — values that have guided his public service and private endeavours alike. Through strategic partnerships, targeted grants and gifts, and thought leadership, the TWPF seeks to defend progress where it is under threat and to advance it where it has yet to be won.

Entirely independent and non-political, TWPF is not a registered charity or company and neither solicits nor accepts external funding — ensuring complete freedom of thought, speech, and action in pursuit of its mission.

Support for his majesty's
British Armed Forces

In addition to its principal focus, TWPF also extends financial support to the men and women of His Majesty's British Armed Forces, in particular to the Household Division Charity — honouring service, courage, and sacrifice in all its forms, and recognising those whose duty and discipline safeguard the freedoms upon which equality and justice depend.
